The Newly Institute brings the NeuroLounge to mental health care through a new partnership with Brainnovation Network
The Newly Institute is bringing a new layer of recovery technology into its mental health programs through a partnership with Brainnovation Network. The agreement sees Newly install the NeuroLounge, Brainnovation Network’s curated suite of evidence-informed brain health and recovery technology, beginning at its Calgary clinic and expanding across its other locations in the months ahead.

A tech-forward layer for mental health recovery
The Newly Institute is known for rapid-access, medically managed intensive outpatient programs that help people work through anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD, trauma, and chronic pain. Its model brings psychiatry, evidence-based therapies, and skills training together into a focused course of care.
The NeuroLounge adds a complementary recovery environment to that model. It gives patients a dedicated space to rest and reset, with technology that supports sleep, stress regulation, and nervous system recovery alongside the clinical work they are already doing. Each NeuroLounge is configured for the setting it serves, and the installation at Newly has been built around the needs of people moving through mental health and pain recovery.
“Our patients do some of the hardest work of their lives inside our programs, and recovery doesn’t stop when a session ends. The NeuroLounge gives them somewhere to downregulate, rest, and reset between sessions. It fits naturally with the care we already provide, and it gives our clinical team another evidence-informed way to support the people who come to us,”

Why recovery, sleep, and nervous system regulation matter
Sleep, stress, and recovery are closely tied to mental health. When the nervous system stays in a heightened state, it’s harder to rest, harder to regulate emotion, and harder to hold onto the progress made in therapy. The technology inside the NeuroLounge is designed to help the body move out of that heightened state and into recovery, which can reinforce the clinical work happening around it.
For Brainnovation Network, Newly is a meaningful partner because both organizations take a research-informed approach to brain health and care about measurable outcomes.
“The Newly Institute is exactly the kind of partner we built the NeuroLounge for. They’re clinically rigorous, they care about outcomes, and they’re willing to bring credible technology into a real care setting. Recovery and nervous system regulation are foundational to mental health, and we’re proud to support Newly’s team and their patients with tools that fit naturally into the work they already do,”

Starting in Calgary, built to scale
The first NeuroLounge installation goes live at Newly’s Calgary clinic, with plans to extend the model across Newly’s other locations as the program grows. Brainnovation Network provides the equipment, onboarding, staff training, and ongoing support, so Newly’s team can offer a consistent experience as they scale.
“We’ve spent a long time curating technology that clinics can actually trust and use, and seeing it land inside a program like Newly’s is exactly why we do this work. We’re starting in Calgary, we’re building it to scale, and our job is to make sure every patient and every clinician has a smooth experience from day one,”

What comes next
The Calgary launch is the first phase of a wider rollout. Over the coming weeks, Newly and Brainnovation Network will share more about how the NeuroLounge fits into day-to-day care, including a closer look at the patient experience and a conversation with the team behind the program. Newly plans to open NeuroLounge sessions to patients at its Calgary clinic this summer.
