Dr. Sealy Hambright received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler. He then completed his M.S. in Microbiology at the University of Texas at Arlington prior to completing his PhD training in the Biology of Aging Training Program at UTHealth San Antonio at the Barshop Institute for Longevity and Aging Studies. Following his PhD training, he joined the laboratory of Johnny Huard at UTHealth Houston in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery as a Consortium on Aging supported fellow. His research focused on the biology of stem cells related to aging and how to improve the efficacy of stem cell therapeutics in older populations. Dr. Hambright is also a former Principal Investigator and Program Director for Healthy Aging Diagnostics at the Steadman Philippon Research Institute (SPRI) at the Steadman Clinic in Vail Colorado. The Steadman Clinic & SPRI are collectively a world renowned Sports Medicine orthopedic surgical center and research facility. His focus was to develop strategies that target fundamental properties of aging including senescent(aged) cell accumulation, telomere erosion, and inflammation in an effort to improve ortho-regenerative medicine therapies. Currently, Dr. Hambright owns and operates Hambright Consulting LLC. He holds principal research positions at Restoration Biologics and Boston Children’s Hospital. He is also a co-founder and Scientific Director of Base State Longevity in Aspen CO, co-founder of TriCelX Bio in Dallas TX, and Aion Health, a startup telemedicine platform and regenerative biologics clinic.
